The curriculum in in our fun, friendly and safe environment is based in traditional <i><b>Jujutsu</b></i> -- the 'Gentle Art' as practiced for over 1000 years on the ancient battlefields of feudal Japan, now accented by modern principles of fitness and self defense which are employed by law enforcement agencies and personal protection professionals around the world today. After studying under some icons in the Western Martial Arts world like Sig Kufferath, Wally Jay, Cliff Stewart, Hawkins Cheung and Mike Belzer at the Inosanto Academy, (To name a few) he spent most of the 1990s in Amagasaki, Japan, training under the <i>Söke</i> of the <i>Yanagi Ryu</i> system, Sensei Kano Takehiko, as well as the direct descendant of the style's founder, Sensei Iwanaga Gensaburo. Since then, he has led classes and seminars in various venues working with martial arts practitioners, law enforcement professionals, and people from every other walk of life.
